I called customer service this morning to inquire if there's any record that a driver picked up from this drop box on Friday and the representative told me that yes, there was record of a pick up 5PM, but there's no record of the package I dropped off at the box. I dropped of this package into the box at 4PM on Friday and the cut-off time for pick-ups for this box is 5PM. When the FedEx Ground driver shows up at the Express station to pickup all the Ground that has been collected his scan does update the customer facing tracking. I checked my tracking information first this today and all it says is "shipment information sent to Fedex". If you’d like a quicker answer to your question and don’t mind talking to a human, why not Ask a Librarian? Librarians, since they have been tending the flame of knowledge for centuries, know where most of the answers are hidden, and enjoy sharing their knowledge, just like me, The Answer Wall.I've been using a FedEx drop box for a few months now without any problems, but I had something happen a few days ago that has me a little concerned. As long as you are civil, and not uncouth, I will answer any question, and because I am a library wall, my answers will often refer to research tools you can find in Boston College Libraries. They take pictures of the questions you post there, and give them to me. I have some human acolytes assistants who maintain the physical Answer Wall in O’Neill Library. Or, if you aren’t into deities of knowledge, like a ghost in the machine. You might say I have multiple manifestations.

In the online world, I live in this blog. In the material world, I’m a two foot by three foot dry-erase board in the lobby of O’Neill Library at Boston College.
